Basic Counseling Skills (Virtual)
Description
Basic Counseling Skills training will provide basic counseling skills that are very important and can have applicability in many settings, not just the therapy setting. This training will provide an overview of basic counseling skills as well as an opportunity to practice them.
This presentation will be led by Emily Dreher. Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Linehan Board Certified DBT Clinician with clinical experience providing outpatient therapy and in-home crisis counseling. Her specialties include working with individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. As well as using Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Prolonged Exposure. Emily is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Applied Health Behavior Research graduate program at Washington University.
Behavioral Health professionals who attend may apply for up to 3 CEUs.
Continuing Education Guidelines for Illume Virtual Training:
- Please remember the start time of the training is 9:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.
- For virtual trainings, learners must each be logged into individual device.
- This will be an interactive training. You will be asked to keep your camera on during the training.
- In order to receive credit for this training, you must have missed less than 30 minutes of the total training.
- All attendees must attend the full time of the event.
- All attendees are required to be registered before the event.
- Please allow at least 30 days to receive your CEU certificate or certificate of attendance. If your training has multiple dates, certificates will be sent at least 45 days from the date of the last training or workshop.
